About Me!

I went to Kings High School and the art classes I have taken in high school have been Ceramics Studio I, Drawing I, Drawing II, Painting I, Intro to DMA (Digital Media Arts), Honors DMA I, Fashion Studio I, Fashion Studio II, Ceramics II, and AP DMA. Some of my hobbies are drawing, painting, photography, making collages, playing the guitar, and going thrifting.

~ Artist Statement ~

Art has always been a big part of my life; it’s practically my whole life. I love making art because I feel like I can express who I am as a person with it. Whether it’s digital art, drawing, ceramics, fashion, painting, or writing—it helps me express myself. I see art as more than just designs, clay, clothes, paint, a pen, or words; I see art as making a statement. When I make art, I like to make a statement. Whether it has a significant meaning or is just for aesthetics, it’s still something I can use as my voice creatively, which is why I love making art.

 

The art styles I gravitate towards more are abstract, grungy, collages/mixed media, retro/vintage, and surrealism. These art styles can be different from each other, but that’s what makes it fun because having a signature art style as an artist but working with various types of art is what helps me learn so many new things; this does not only help me grow as an artist but as a person as well!

 

Art has always been with me since day one. Life itself is art. I like to think of life as an art piece in the making, and I’m the artist creating it because what one puts in life is what one gets out of it. So one day, I want to be known for my art. I want the world to see a part of who I am—see the art piece that I have been creating.
